Abstract

Background. Tourism and the creative economy are sectors with significant potential to drive economic growth and improve public welfare, particularly in Banyuwangi Regency, which is designated as a Priority Tourism Destination, or one of the "10 New Balis," under the 2015-2019 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

Research Purpose. This study evaluates public awareness, perceived success, economic benefits and measures community satisfaction of government programs in the tourism and creative economy sectors in Banyuwangi Regency, Indonesia.

Research Method. This study uses a quantitative, cross-sectional survey design with 250 respondents across 25 sub-districts. The analysis combines descriptive summaries of program awareness, perceived success, perceived economic benefits, and information dissemination with the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).

Findings. The findings provide an overview of program recognition and public assessment, while the satisfaction analysis identifies service attributes that should be maintained and those requiring improvement. The results can inform more responsive public services and program communication in Banyuwangi Regency.

Conclusion. Positive public perceptions of government programs coexist with uneven program awareness and service attributes that require improvement. This indicates the need to strengthen public communication and prioritize service improvements based on community expectations.
